Mercurie Labs exists because we think the ground under knowledge work is shifting. These are the convictions that shape what we build and what we write.
Judgment is the scarcest input.
When AI makes execution nearly free, the bottleneck moves upstream — to taste, discernment, and the willingness to decide. We build for the people doing that thinking, not around them.
Tools should disappear into the work.
The best software earns its keep by making someone more capable and then getting out of the way. We measure our products by the work they unlock, not the time they capture.
Craft is not decoration.
Clarity, restraint, and a well-made interface are how trust gets communicated. We sweat the details because the details are the argument.
Think in public.
Ideas compound when they are shared. We publish what we are learning — half-formed and in the open — because the writing sharpens the building.
Keep a human in the loop.
AI amplifies people; it does not absolve them. Someone is always accountable for the outcome, and our tools are designed to keep that person in command.
